Tsufit’s 39 Cool Marketing Blogs
By tsufit on Apr 12, 2008 in About the Author, Advertising, Blogging, Books, Branding, Cool Stuff, Marketing, Publicity, Success
The thing about a book is that you have a finite amount of space to say what you want to say– good thing. Generally, less really is more.
But that meant that I only had one page (Page 266) in Step Into The Spotlight! as an Appendix to spread the word about some cool marketing blogs. Luckily I don’t have that limitation here. So here’s my Online Appendix. For the accountants amongst you, yes, if you actually count, you may find a few more than 39 blogs listed here. If the Power 150 can have 591 blogs on it, I can squeeze a few more into the Cool 39.
Before I list ‘em, I want to send a big thank you out to 3 people who smoothed my entree into the blogosphere by introducing me around, John Jantsch and Nettie Hartsock and especially Todd Andrlik. You guys have a great community. OK, enough with the “blah, blah, blah…” Here’s the list:
39 Cool Marketing Blogs
Advergirl * Blog Write For CEOS * Blog Business World *Brand Autopsy * Branding and Marketing * The Brand Builder * Biz Solutions Plus * Buzz Canuck *Blogging Me Blogging You * Canuck Flack * Celebrity Leverage *Common Sense PR *Coca Cola Conversations Blog *Copy Blogger *ConverStations *Church of the Customer *Customers Rock *

Always on the lookout for cool marketing and publicity blogs so I’d love to hear about your favorites. Thanks to David Jones for the heads up on the Coca Cola Conversations Blog Keep ‘em comin’ …

It was a privilege to interview you for the podcast. I learned so much from the book – I thank you for giving me the confidence to follow my dream

Anna,
You know you’ve really connected when you spend just as long speaking after the tape has been turned off as during the interview itself! The pleasure was mine.

Loved your book for so many different reasons, but mostly because I really believe that it’s not only a guide for individuals, but for businesses/brands as well.
Look for a review soon!
Best,
Mark

P.S. Gavin, when I post my list of 39 Cool Blog Headers, The Servant of Chaos is definitely a contender. Awesome.

Your book is on my desk staring at me, daring to me to crack it open. It’s got the look of one of those books you might not be able to put down once you start, so I’m waiting for the right moment to indulge.
Love the blog and looking forward to reading more.

Thanks so much for including my blog, Coca-Cola Conversations, on your list of 39 cool marketing blogs. I try to cover Coke’s heritage and the role our brand has played in pop culture through the years. I’d love for your readers to check out my blog and let me know what they think. And congratulations on the success of your book! — Phil Mooney

Thanks Phil.
I’m fascinated by Coke’s marketing throughout the years. (Several references to Coca-Cola in the book.) I even snuck out of a marketing seminar in Atlanta, a couple of years ago, to spend the day soaking it up at the Coke Museum.

Hey, thanks for the shout out! I’ve never thought of myself as a “marketer”, so your recognition means a lot to me.
(BTW, I have your book and it’s getting very close to the top of my reading pile!)
All the best, and keep the glass half-full!

Terry,
Keep the glass half full?
Over here it’s over-flowing! Which often is a good thing, but then I gotta send a kid to mop it up…don’t ask. You’ll like page 25 of Step Into The Spotlight! It jives with your “soundtrack” thing.

You totally rock, Tsufit! Many thanks for including my blog, http://twohatmarketing.com, in your 39 blogs. I’ll be linking back to you.
I just returned from hanging out for Spring Break with my two favorite girls — wife, Kay, and daughter, Kelly — and read your book. Really great job. I liked the comment you made about how we still have to interrupt people before we can ask for permission. Duh.
Steve Miller | Apr 17, 2008 | Reply
My pleasure Steve! Glad you liked the book.
Love your “Results Not Typical” post!
Like yeah, I’m gonna cough up big bucks for something that typically doesn’t produce the results you’re dangling in front of me to entice me to open my wallet. The crazy part is that we do fall for this stuff.

Thanks for including Common Sense PR in your list. I haven’t been called cool in a while… I hope it’s still good to be cool!
With my luck, I’d be the last one to figure out it’s now a way of referring to someone who’s totally out of touch…
Nice blog. Looking forward to reading more.

Eric, I was just thinking about that the other day–how it’s cool to be hot and it’s cool to be cool but nobody wants to be cold or even worse, luke warm.
