Consider this my penance.

Years ago, I was in a European cinema commercial, me and about 12 other actresses. 3 days of shooting for 60 seconds. I was really excited. But my then 8 year old daughter felt otherwise. In fact, she left me long voice mail message reprimanding me for appearing in a cigarette commercial.
In Step Into The Spotlight!, I talk about the brilliance of Philip Morris’ Marlboro campaign. I recently interviewed Guerrilla Marketing guru, Jay Conrad Levinson, who told me about the genesis of that hugely successful campaign–he was on the team that came up with it when he was an ad exec. And it is masterful.
Good to know that there’s a brilliant counter campaign by an organization called The Truth that’s taking on Big Tobacco.
Spoiler: They sell T Shirts.
Thanks to Daughter Number 2 for ripping this out of a magazine for me.
