American I-Dull!

Have you watched American Idol lately? Most of the finalists are good singers but they’re– BORING! Totally forgettable!
Just like most entrepreneurs…
I’m thinking of sending the studio a case of my book Step Into The Spotlight!: A Guide to Getting Noticed (I’m pretty excited ’cause it just won a Silver Medal in the 2009 Axiom Business Book Awards! in the Marketing/PR category. Not too shabby…)

I’d also send the contestants page 66 of the March 2009 issue of Entrepreneur Magazine where I’m being interviewed about how entrepreneurs can “Make a Memorable Impression”.
‘Cause being good at what you do just ain’t enough anymore. You gotta step into the spotlight and get noticed. You gotta captivate your audience. Loved Adam Lambert’s “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” performance and this guy– Nick Mitchell’s character was, despite the goofiness, captivating. My daughter insisted on rewinding it 4 times. The rest of ‘em? Like watching paint dry.
